Just one block south of Palm Springs's famous Movie Colony neighborhood, Casa Verde earned its own spot in Hollywood history, when it served as a location for the 1984 movie "Fraternity Vacation." Starring Tim Robbins and "Animal House's" John Vernon, "Fraternity Vacation" features historical footage of Palm Springs in the early 1980s. In addition to serving as a movie site location, Casa Verde is walking distance of the Movie Colony neighborhood where the Palm Springs homes of Frank Sinatra and Bob Hope are located.
